Summer is in full swing in the city and that means taking 1+ hour mass transit rides out of Manhattan down to Coney Island. Last weekend I was able to make it out for this year's Mermaid Parade, a day of sun and fun with people dressing up in marine themed costumes. My personal favorite is this Poseidon that strongly reminds me of The Dude from The Big Lebowski.
Perfect weather and tons of people to share it with.
